Montreal, Quebec (March 6, 2024) – Apartment 11’s Sunny’s Quest has been nominated for a 2025 Canadian Screen Awards.

Best Children’s or Youth Non-Fiction Program or Series

Sunny’s Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country.  Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage.  Some of the amazing children we meet include an 8-year-old Caribbean Carnival princess, a 10-year-old Canadian-Bahamian trans girl who is a superstar in vogueing, and a 10-year-old Guinean-Canadian competitive swimmer who also loves learning how to make his favourite dishes with his mom.  Sunny’s Quest is produced by Apartment 11 Productions in association with TVOKids and is made with the financial participation of the Canada Media Fund, Shaw Rocket Fund, the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and the Quebec Film and Television Tax Credit.

The Canadian Screen Awards honour outstanding achievement in the Canadian film, television, and digital media industries and are administered by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
