Stratford, P.E.I., voted “Most Fun Spot in Canada”, celebrates with exciting concert featuring performances by pop star and Fun Hunt host Jordan Francis

February 20, 2013 – Kids’ CBC interactive nation-wide adventure, CROSS COUNTRY FUN HUNT comes to a close with a special finale episode featuring the city crowned the “Most Fun Spot in Canada”, Stratford, P.E.I. and its grand-prize concert celebration on Saturday, March 2 at 9:30 a.m. ET (8:30 a.m. PT/ 10 a.m. NT). In this epic finale, host Jordan Francis and special guest pop singer Victoria Duffieldtakeover Stratford; visiting winning contestant Lacey Koughan‘s school, surprising local kids while serving up lattes at a favourite coffee spot and performing live to nearly 3,000 fans at the sold-out Fun Hunt Concert at Charlottetown’s Civic Centre.

In the fall of 2012, CROSS COUNTRY FUN HUNT set out to uncover the “Most Fun Spot in Canada”, challenging Canadian kids to share their favourite local fun spots by uploading videos and pictures online and having viewers vote a winner. Host, Jordan Francis (Camp Rock, Connor Undercover) embarked on a cross-country road trip visiting the places with the most votes in every province. During Jordan’s visit to the eventual winning community of Stratford, P.E.I., young ambassador Lacey showed Canadians her picturesque town over a traditional lobster boat lunch and a hot-air balloon ride.

Over 14,000 Canadians cast their online votes to crown a winner, with Stratford, P.E.I. taking the coveted title of “Most Fun Spot in Canada” and winning the grand-prize concert. CROSS COUNTRY FUN HUNT ‘s final episode, airing March 2 on Kids’ CBC, features footage from the sold-out concert held on January 27, as well as a look at Lacey’s tour of Stratford with Jordan and Victoria.
