1 Season – 13 x 60’ episodes
WAY OFF BROADWAY follows 21 average Canadians, who face their fears to step on stage in acclaimed director, dancer and performance coach Sarina Condello’s production of The Wizard of Oz.
Their goal? Singing, dancing and acting in front of a live audience of 1,100.
Their fear? Singing out of tune, stumbling their dance steps, and missing their cues.
They’ve only got eight weeks. Most of them haven’t been in a musical production since grade school – and some have never been on stage, at all.
Documented in 13, one-hour episodes, WAY OFF BROADWAY details all the behind-the-scenes action of the cast’s individual journeys as they experience the transformative powers of participating in a live theatre production.
